Rhone Fraser is an independent journalist, a playwright, Marxist, Christian, and proudly gay. His work focuses on continuing the revolutionary radical legacy of Malcolm X and Lorraine Hansberry. He is an LGBT activist that critiques the use of LGBT rights to promote U.S. imperialism and, consequently, supports the work of whistleblower Chelsea Manning. He is secretary of Caribbean Alliance For Equality founded by his family member Jason Latty, that aims to end homophobia in the Caribbean. He is host of the radio show "Freedom Readers" that airs Thursdays 7-9pm on WPEB West Philadelphia Community Radio. In 2012 he wrote the article "Marable's Revolutionary Malcolm" published by Third World Press who will also publish his article this year celebrating the theoretical legacy of Amiri Baraka.
